Mission

The Vrindavan Center provides visitors an opportunity to explore and engage with the rich history, culture, and devotional heritage of Vrindavan.

Purpose

The Vrindavan Center is a place where visitors from around the world are presented with a comprehensive overview of the history, devotional culture, and philosophy related to the holy city and saints of Vrindavan. The Center offers visitors an introduction to Vrindavan’s temples, deities, founders, and devotional literature by featuring an interactive museum of visual and audio exhibits, cultural festivals, and seminars. The Center also brings awareness to the present ecological challenges and environmental initiatives throughout the area.

Vision

Through partnerships with scholars, artists, institutions, and NGOs, the Vrindavan Center facilitates authentic educational and cultural experiences that grant an introduction as well as academic access to the extensive traditions of the greater Braja area. The Center is an extension of the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies and home of the Yamuna Network, and serves as a space for the cultivation of art, research, events, and environmental awareness.
