A key aspect of the Vrindavan Center is to preserve the ancient cultures and traditions of Braja Mandala and to share them in a meaningful way to rest of the world. A great example of this was the Vasant Panchami Festival that took place for seven days in the beginning of February 1997. The infamous Rasa Mandali troupe lead by Fateh Krishna presented countless performances that ran daily from 3 p.m to 7 p.m. Thousands of locals and dignitaries from all over India attended the performances, which were staged on an elevated platform in the middle of the River Yamuna, directly in front of Pandavali Kunja at Keshi Ghat. This festival was also held in part to celebrate the inauguration of the recent acquirement of Pandavali Kunja by Prabhupada Bhaktisiddhanta World Mission. Since then, the building has been undergoing major restorations and will be ready soon to continue similar festivities and programs preserving cultural heritage.
